sunny but cold winter days are being spent at the farm. they are full days of running , fence climbing, cow chasing, dirty scraped knees and the odd prickle or two. but it guarantees me two happy hungry exhausted kidlets (you can include parents and grandies in that as well!)
the chooks may never recover but the pleasure of watching your kids trying to play house with their feathered friends is worth the cost of chook therapy .
poppys back gets a work out and grannies biscuit tin is empty but they beg us to come back the next day! (weirdos!).
we get to put the kids to bed early then sit exhausted in front of this roaring beauty.
school holidays aren't so bad after all!.

DeleteIf winter in australia means to hang araound in shorts and flip flops , i would like it. We have summer here in Germany and I wear a sweaty and long trousers because it´s to cold and rainy...

Oh, that really looks like the best of days! The pictures are gorgeous!! I've always loved taking my kids to the farm where my dad grew up, it's so lovely for kids to experience animals. Beautiful post, that hug is priceless!

ReplyDeleteit really was a cold day...but I suppose they were numb from splashing in the creek....im not expecting a mother of the year award (oops). It is a lovely hug pic isn't it....lucky Nic is strong just after this she had to lug them both across a prickle patch. xx
