26/52...

he...his feet (and our deck) will be in this state for the entire school hols...im not kidding.
just as I was snapping this he was trying to tell me how all the dirt was not his fault.
and hes probably right...damn those boy genes!

she...I asked her to sit like a lady so I could take a nice pic....and this is what I got?. not sure what kinda ladies shes been hangin around??....maybe the type that partake in an afternoon G&T (granny?).

weve made it to week 26 people!....give yourselves a pat on the back.

things are a little slow around here....school hols and the most dreadful weather. throw in a runny nose or two and a cough that has the dogs frightened and you get a picture of my week.
but!...glory days I get a few hours out tomorrow on my lonesome...sadly its to the docs to get my nether regions poked....I know TMI but its a pap smear ladies....have you had yours lately?.
in all seriousness ive lost two lovely friends in the last two years to cervical cancer.
both preventable cases if they had of had regular paps.

as they say its a little bit of awkward for a lot of piece of mind!

and hey ill do anything to nab a couple of hours kid free!!

cant wait to tell you all about it!!
(just teasing ill spare you the details!)

Al xx

  1. Dear Allison, you have a great young lady there and feets MUST have been covered with dust, you don´t know?! We call this feets and legs here in Germany "Summerlegs"...
Your kids are so sweet and they seem to be very happy.

  6. Oh, so that's what I need to do to get a bit of peace and quiet (from the girlies fighting) Thanks Alison - any nicer suggestions? Ones that don't involve probing of my privates?

  7. Bare feet and dirt...what could be more boyish? At least it isn't mud. And I think she has her feet in a very ladylike pose. :)

  10. So sorry to hear about your friends Al, that's really sad. Hope you at least had time for a coffee and a bit of you-time afterwards! Great pix this week, dirty feet = fun to me. Love your little Frankie on that church pew (?) She needs to get your Jesus and the saints statues out there with her too! How's that weather going for you? Hope it's improving xx

  11. Loving those super dirty feet a sign of good fun had! Yes, it's great when life gets to the point of getting excited about a pap just for a few hours out! I can't really say enjoy, but I am sorry to hear the news of your friends. Xoxo

  12. Oh your kids and mine would get along so well. I chuckled out loud at your two in this post, because I could see and hear my own children in your words.

It's been much the same with constant rain here and colds. In fact the colds have not stopped nor the rain and we've spent the whole time indoors.

And I answer yes, every two years I have my Pap smears done, I rather fancy the idea of being around as long as I can.
