be still...

a few snippets of our wintery week.....weekend actually. the days have been so gloomy and dark the only pics I could get were in teeny glimpses of sunlight over the weekend.
its cold and wet and I hate it/love it.

1| our queen tree is now bare (but still beautiful!)

2| curly shadows. she talks to her shadow...nothing to worry about right????

3| who bloody owns these two...get a look at the hobbos!. this is me begging them to stand still to get a pic....is a smile really so much to ask?

4| these beauties have copped a beating in the rain....but still a million buds on the bushes.

5| heres a stick for you Charlie...you have the little one...why says Charlie....so I can hit you with this big one says Frankie.... charming!...did I say hobbos before...I meant crims!.

6| the two on the far right are newbies....they have settled in nicely thanks.

7| vintage baskets....can you have too many?....don't answer that!

8| Ahhh...check it out Janey!....50c at the oppy, my new fave tea cup.

sharing over with the fab Em.
have you seen the beautiful Elke yet?...divine!

well the alone time didn't exactly happen as Charlie woke at midnight with a sore ear, so he had to tag along to the drs with me.
Kinda worth the laugh though. whilst the doc and I were behind the curtain getting.. ahem.. to know each other Charlie sat at her desk and in a millisecond managed to get Thomas up on you tube!!
Luckily Doc has kids and a sense of humour.
She is Charlies regular GP and at the end of each visit always asks him if he wants a lolly or a hug for being such a good boy....Charlie always chooses the hug (smooth operator!!)

you don't need me to tell you that I chose the lolly do you?

Hooray for roster changes...Nic is home tomorrow night now...phew cause I was worried about getting us all through these hols alive.

right...im off to stir the pot...going vintage slow cooker tonight...chicken mornay!!

Al xx

  1. That photo of the two them needs a caption: "Mu-uuum, not you with the camera againnnn"! They are very cute little hobos. Thank God Nic is home soon, then can you sneak off for a bit of you time? Poor old Charlie, hope his ear's feeling a lot better, your GP sounds lovely. Here's to the rest of the week, hope it's sunny! xx

  6. You make me giggle!! I can just see the scene at the docs as I've been there done that, difference being my quack did a great deal more grumpy quacking. You think if your a doc you are used to kids doing all sorts. Anyway sounds like you've got a good quack there!! What is it with kids and cameras hey?! Mines just the same. I have to warn that the next stage is standing still (big tick!) but pulling faces (ggrrrr!). Got to love them. Pleased to hear Nic is back enjoy the chicken sounds delish!! Xoxo
