glorious sunshine!...

good news folks...the rain seems to have left my little neck of the woods!!...im not getting too excited but we had half a day of sunshine yesterday....real sunshine!...not the half arse slightly warm type...the blue sky blasting sunshine that we all love. washing was done by the truckloads....walks were had to the cow paddocks down the road, lawns were mowed (I have a chap!) and my mood has most definitely lifted. ahh the power of vitamin D.
I came so close to missing this weeks nature in the home link up over at lou`s. our yard has slim pickings of the floral variety at the moment so on our little stroll Frankie and I had our eyes peeled for something to pop in this sweet Johnson.
the difference some flowers can make!!!..even good ol grandma variety blooms.

todays looking good too!
there is any early fog, and by early I mean 5am (thanks Charlie!). apparently fogs at dawn are a good sign of a sunny day ahead. im certainly not wishing for the heat you poor southerners have copped but just enough so we can put away the brollies for a bit....and just enough so I don't have to steal marigolds from the cows!

  1. What a delightful bunch of grandma flowers. And I love geranium leaves, especially the lovely lime coloured ones you have there. (: Inspired me to see what I can find today. Oh, and congratulations on the sunshine.

  2. oh boy, how gorgeous are those! haven't got my nature inside yet for the post and this week it's started snowing on our Spring here in the UK! It's freezing. The school run yesterday was the coldest weather i have ever experienced so flowers like that are not on any walks here! You may have inspired me to go and treat myself tomorrow though! x

  3. Al, those flowers would make the sun shine on a rainy day! Love the Duranta ?"Geisha Girl" (i.e. the purple flower, if you're wondering why I've gone all Latin!) I see the lady with the well-worn-pointy-breasts managed to get her face in the last shot, too.
Enjoy the sun, I do hope your wet weather is finally heading to N.E.Victoria, but I doubt it.

  8. Grandma variety blooms are the best. I love, love visiting my nan and strolling around her yard and picking posies together she always sends me home (an hour hour away) with a little posie with wet paper towel and a small bag on the stems to keep them fresh. Nothing says nana more to me then grandma posie they are the best, especially in some Johnson.

  9. Oh yes....I can certainly tell you are a world class op-shopper.
You have some MAGNIFICENT treasures - the turquoise glockenspiel comes to mind,
as does the frock shop mirror and the hyacinth print.
    It's a terrible addiction, isn't it?
I believe there is no cure.
