xmas success!....

it was definately a success!...santa was very generous this year and all presents were received with squeals of delight and surprise
charlie was up at his usual crack of dawn and waited ever so patiently for frankie who decided a ever so more decent hour of 7.00 would suffice (diva!).
nanny & pa came for pancake brekky and we all had chocolate before we could really see out of our puffy sleepy eyes.

new christmas clobber was put on and i started snappin....i kid you not out of about 50 pics in front of the tree....these were the only decent ones!

i blame the early choccy fix!

grannys tree was in need of a restyle of the 2 1/2 yr old variety....notice the hand to mouth action....more chocolate....which would continue all day....and we paid for it later i can tell you!

granny doesnt know it yet but these glasses are mine in the will!

behold the saviour of the day....just when the kids (and the oldies) were about to flip out from the heat and the sugar/pork/ham/pudding overload....poppy whips out this beauty!!

self explanatory really....we didnt see the kids for the next 2 hours.
weve even convinced poppy it needs to stay at theres for the hols. we would have it at ours but we have a huge kiddy population around us and we would end up with about 20 kids here everyday....ummm no thanks....that makes me not very neighbourly i know but....

the temp was 39 degrees, the food was in copious amounts,we had a few too many (well they did!!) and there may have been a few terse words re the overcooked chook!

CHRISTMAS SUCCESS!!!

Axx

ps...yes charlie enjoyed the whole day...participated even...and told me he was "cross" today when i started packing away the deccys....success peeps success!! x

  1. I'm so glad your Christmas was good and that the kids had so much fun. That play set is fabulous! Poppy did a great job!

The grandsons did the chocolate overload thing too. Just about the time they started to get wild, it began to snow (which is rare here), so they got to go outside and play off the sugar rush.

  2. Yay for successes of the celebratory variety. My boy did well too, ours is a small shindig- just the grandmothers so not too over the top. Well done Poppy for salvaging a potentially feral situation. We hired a similar thing for our boys birthday, made a huge difference in coping with lots of people at our house! mel x
