this is our choice of xmas music most years....not sure why we just love us some von trapp! it makes us smile a lot and those damn lyrics get stuck in your head for weeks.

the tree is surviving...just. it has been rearranged a zillion times and more than a few ornaments havent faired well from the enthusiastic styling sessions.
we are not fussy here....all welcome as long as your into fairy lights...and by into i mean your are happy to wear them!
did you know santa was a twin?!...here they are shakin up some xmas cheer!
Shhhh Santas got a headache. I put the arm down....charlie put the arm back up. my dad reckons hes flippin us the bird!....and thats right boys and girls no presents for poppy this year!
last but never least is my little guy Charlie with the first christmas deccy he has ever made.
you see my sweetie is a complicated kid and has never understood xmas before. at 6 1/2 yrs he can finally grasp an understanding of it and has even started talking about the big fella himself!!
so xmas is very emotional for us this year as there will be presents under the tree that our little guy will want to unwrap!!
i would of taken a picture of his deccy on the tree but he is not quite ready to part with it just yet!
Niccy comes home today and is on two weeks hol!....yay some sleep ins for me.

ReplyDeleteYour place looks as bling'd up as mine! Ditto with the kids and not really getting Christmas thing. We alternate between excitement, getting completely overwhelmed and discussing in detail all the bits that don't make logical sense. My gang hung about 10 ornaments between them, got overwhelmed and walked off and left the rest for me to do- they had of course opened every box and strewn them all over the lounge room first. So pleased you are having a moment of joy with your gorgeous boy though, we take ours whenever we get it, always gratefully received. Yours is a handsome one (aren't they all) and I'm so pleased for you that your other half is coming home to share the early starts. Have a wonderful Christmas, mel x

ReplyDeleteLooking at your pics today has really got me in the festive mood; I really want to bring out the old Christmas carol CD's, but my kids detest them (apparently the old carols have the same effect on them as my parents playing their old "My Fair Lady" LP record ALL year round way back when..).
