i wanted to show you this sweet little watercolour i got from a sweet vintage homewares shop in Lismore. (whilst on my little road trip the other day)
im a sucker for rural scenes , especially if a cow is included!
i`d never been to this shop before....mum had told me about it...but you know...what do mothers know right?...well she was correct in saying it was FAB!
The owner Nicky prob thinks im nuts....lucky she loves a chat cause thats what we did!
Its called Room 32
Unique & Beautiful Homewares
Zadoc st, Lismore
The shop itself is one of Lismores old & beautiful homes .Nicky has done a great job of creating a shopfront that just invites you in....call in if your ever in Lismore. i didnt get anything for mentioning Room 32 here, just sharing cause i loved it!!.
i also got this retro wonder at Room 32....how cute!
this little babe came home with me from the oppy, he was so dirty and unloved that i had no idea he was blue!
a scrub in the tub and voila!...frankie loves him of course, she is animal mad. he is a money box....so for now sits on her bookshelf.
the colour got me!
the retro fruit got me!
the shape and natural beauty of this one got me ( & it was 50c )
& she looks perfect next to my camillia print on the mantel
thats candle wax in the mantel grooves!...just in case you thought something nasty had made a home there....im just too lazy to bother digging it out!
WOOF!
ive dug out some pyrex that my aunty gwen recently gave me....having a little goodluck bbq for Niccy and want to use these to serve goodies in....the red one is my fave...will def be keeping her out to use at christmas as well.
after taking pics i couldnt bring myself to put stuff away....just wanted to gaze at things just a little longer...also my mum and dad were coming for dinner... i love teasing my mum!....she always says "so, do you want me to find a place for a few of these things?"
charlie gave me this branch from the yard a few weeks ago and insisted it go on display....and here it now lives...think it will prob get a lick if silver for chrissy and some decorations too...hell maybe even tinsel.
do you like the sideboard?...was a garage sale find about 6 yrs ago on the gold coast. the man couldnt sell it as everyone who love it lived in an apartment and didnt want to take it up stairs etc. He said I could have it for $20 if i took it that day.....i carried that baby out on my back!!
thats a fib of course....lucky i was driving the ute that day....so i accosted 2 other garage sale goers and they helped me lift it on. shame this pic doesnt show her legs, they are curvy....chunky and curvy?...just like her mums!
was supposed to be having a little nap while frankie is asleep...bloody computer!!
we are in for a top of 36 degrees here today, so afternoon will be spent in the neighbours pool again!...yay for neighbours (who are also your cousin) with pools!!
hopes its hot & sunny wherever you are!
Totally need a cousin/ neighbour/ pool situation in my life! Another round of awesome vintage-ness - so cool, the display looks fantastic!.

The stick made me laugh. Back when I was a broke uni student, we used to annually go and pick out the Christmas Stick and paint it green, then wrap it in tinsel. Voila! Share house Christmas tree.
ReplyDeleteYou found some great things.
Love alll your purchases, esp the pyrex. The sideboard looks beautiful, great buy for $20! Lucky lady.
ReplyDeleteYou have the oppy knack! Great finds again! Leave them out and join Tania's post today, they need to be admired! :)
ReplyDeleteGood finding. I love the turquoise vase!
ReplyDeleteVery nice treasure hunting. The blue doggie does it for me. You have a nice credenza of pretty little knick knacks. Nice!
ReplyDeleteSuch fabulous finds! Funnily enough, I found a little rural picture this week too, very similar in style to yours, except mine has black swans in it.

These are all soooooo cool......the pyrex will be perfect for Chrissy!
ReplyDeleteI'm still picturing you carrying that sideboard on your back (lucky for willing bystanders).
