thanks doc!

easy does it today. i had a little trip to hospital on friday to have my gall bladder removed. all gone now, just a tad sore n sorry. farewell thy friend, ye will not be missed. any of you who have had gall attacks will know what a relief it is to have that bastard out!! sorry i do not normally swear (actually i always swear!). but man that little sac of crap gave me hell!
im ignoring the discomfort with pretty flowers (and some nice little pills-thanks doc).
i love fresias, they look pretty, smell pretty and grow wild in my yard so i dont have to do a thing, they just pop up in time for spring. thank you mother nature.

this sweet deco tin was a lifeline find a couple of weeks ago. i love it. i could stare at it quite happily for quite some time, once again thanks doc!

ok ok thats enough...did you notice the cobwebs in my little wooden bird cage??. neither did i till i loaded the photos?. oh well. i would dust it or something but im liking the idea that there just may be spiders living in there...(thats a lie, im just too lazy/bombed to do anything about it)
see the little blue "courage" artwork on the shelf....a dear friend made that for Nic and I when we were in need a while back. funny the things that help....
i love taking pics of our home. its a home that loves us back. i often pinch myself that its ours, however.......it aint always pretty................

to the right of me.............

to the left of me!........

i kid myself that i run this household.......pffft who am i kidding, the littlies own every inch!
dont be too concerned. im not home alone with the kids or handling large machinery. Nic is off work for a week and doing a great job nursing me back to health. she secretly loves me being incapacitated and thinks its grand that she gets to tell me what to do....kind of. if i get out of line she just sends the kids to jump on me!...just kidding.
oh god i just realised ,no op shopping this week....noooo!.pass me those pills!.

  1. Mmm, indeed. I feel your pain. I went through the gall bladder shenanigans about 8 months after giving birth and would go through labour over that ordeal any day. Gorgeous pictures, enjoy your recuperation as much as you can.

  2. Oh, good riddance to that gall bladder Allison, make the most of your recuperation time. In no time you'll soon be back to your usual busy self, shopping up a storm. Meanwhile, this might be an opportune time for me to do a road trip and visit your local Oppies while you are house-bound!! Only kidding.

  3. I've been having fun looking through all your fabulous op shop finds, as well as admiring your cute kids and beautiful vases of flowers. Then I saw your house and, sigh, its gorgeous.

By the way, that doesn't look messy to me ... you should see our place. Hmmm ... I probably shouldn't be on the computer right now.
