life lately...

i wish I had some long exciting edge of your seat story to tell as to where the hell ive been and what the bloody hell ive been doing.......but no.
I aim to disappoint!
just the usual im afraid
although I can blame technology a little as the computer was out of action for a while. if there is one thing I hate it is when technology breaks down....I hate dealing with tech heads and those who love speaking techy jargon.....just fix the damn thing already.
I had options and alternatives but being a creature of habit posting on my ipad or my smartphone just doesn't float my boat.
why do I even own these items you ask....one word...kids...please don't get me started!.

I can still convince one to step away from the screen thank goodness. we spend a lot of time lately drinking grass tea with a side of dog fur

we get dressed up to make banana cakes. See Mel, the dress is a huge hit...thanks!

we attend ballet galas with gusto....no stage fright here my friends...oh no...we choose to steal the show by totally ignoring the rest of the troupe and performing our own rendition of twinkle twinkle. we may or may not have also cause a little stir by slagging off the paparazzi in the front row.
a mummy moment that quickly went pear shaped...oh well there is always next year....if we are asked back?!.

then it rains!....literally
and at our house playing in the rain is a must.
ignore the ferocious lightning.
ignore the deafening thunder.
play in the rain damn it!
it is the mother of all reset buttons.

im finally getting my act together and putting the Christmas tree up....I know im a little late but the fact is it is stored in the rafters of the shed and well that involves a ladder and a lot of dust and other unmentionable stuff....ok I can mention it cause well im a sharer....mice poo and dead roaches...there I said it....Merry Christmas!
but we will brush off that mice poo and decorate ourselves a beautiful tree, full of Christmas cheer and most likely a tear or two.....no Charlie we can not set up a train track in the tree and no Frankie we can not put the tree in your bedroom!

oh I have so much to share with you all op shopping wise and Ol Silver wise....my giddy aunt he looks beautiful.....the first road trip is planned for early Feb....fingers crossed.
Niccy gets home on Thursday and is with us till New Year....yay. Two weeks annual leave is planned for the end of school hols....thank sweet baby jesus!

Have a great weekend (whats left of it!)
Al xx

  6. SInging and dancing in the rain, such a sweet simple pleasure, even better with no kit on. Since those pesky robbers took the iPad, life has been a little less connected (that's a good thing), however I was up to level 100 on Candy Crush. Sad I know. No fun for posting but fun for reading blogs.

  9. Good luck with the tree decorating ... I'm so OCD when it comes to decorating our tree that I'm usually the one with a tear or two.

  10. Hey honey lovely to see you back and you sure did not disappoint. It's lovely to see how much the kids are enjoying the summer and my fave thing of all when I was little was to play and swimming in the rain especially when there was lightening and thunder, it's all the more exciting. Sadly here in the uk it never really feels warm enough to do it. It sounds like you have a fun job lined up with getting the tree out and a fabulous couple of weeks ahead. Enjoy your Christmas and having some quality time with the fam. Xoxo

  13. Yes Al, you've been missed! Was hoping everything was okay and you'd all just revved up 'ol silver and hit the highway already! Hope you've got that tree out and up and twinkling away, or the kids have at least. Had to move ours from the shed for those very reasons, now it's shoved in the garage where it gets covered in cat hair. The joys of fake trees! Can we organise a small tree for Frank in her bedroom? You need to make that happen Al xx

  14. There you are! Gorgeous pics of you darling twosome. I think I need to reset by dancing in the rain...
I hear you re the front row paparazzi at kids' concerts. Couldn't see a bloody thing at Littlest's play, someone's camera was held up blocking my view the whole way through.
I haven't put my Christmas tree up yet either, and it's only in a dry cellar, with nothing unsavoury going on! xxx

  15. I missed you too!
Can we come to yours and play in the rain?! Clothes are optional, right? ;)

  16. Those cute kids have the most photogenic smiles (I know I keep saying that!).
I, too, could be dancing in the rain today, but I don't want to scare-off the quietly grazing kangaroos watching every move I make! Two days ago it was 41C here, today we are really enjoying a refreshing 19C. Crazy.
Happy Christmas Al. Wishing you and yours a lot of festive fun. x
