more stealth floggery from me this week im afraid....same shabby garden, but this week I stopped for a while and was selective....I think im becoming quite brazen.
its definitely a sign that my floggery (yes its a word!) (no its bloody not!)
is escalating...maybe I have a problem?
they were nabbed late yesterday afternoon, I promptly plonked them in this tin, slapped them on the mantle and went about my business....only to wake this morning to a huge puddle on the floor....yep ye old tin leaks!!
so they landed here in ye old dish drainer and that is where they will likely stay!.
of course they wont stay there!....I do wash dishes you know!
I think im going to make an effort to have fresh pickings in more than one room....see told you it was escalating.
sharing with the lovely lou.
go on...shove a stick in a glass and join in.
hope the sun is shining on you wherever you are!
Al xx
ps...jesus says hi! x
You and your sticky fingers will be getting a bit of a rep in the hood Allison! Might be time to say a few prayers and ask for forgiveness from you know who?!
ReplyDeletejesus is my homeboy! x
DeleteThey ARE beautiful, very tempting I'm sure! Isn't it sad when you see neglected gardens, especially when there's sure treasure in there....enjoy! :) x
ReplyDeletejust adorable - I love your tin as well leaky or not x
ReplyDeleteLove this floral thievery, I just go out and use the four year old as my cover when we fleece the neighbourhood! mel x
ReplyDeletehi mel...trouble is Frankie makes me stop at one! (or she picks weeds!) x
DeleteThey look stunning in that beautiful tin. Glue a cut-off fizzy drink bottle in the bottom to keep the water in. Happy floggery x
ReplyDeletegreat idea...oi your meant to still have baby brain!! x
DeleteYou are a floral GENIUS! That is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm totally impressed by your brazen floggery (totally a word), I'm far too timid to steal from other people gardens. I have vague childhood memories of being verbally abused after fleecing someone's camellia bush. I may have to start stealing again to create a new happy flower stealing memory!
Gorgeous! Lovely tin too. Put a jar in it, it makes a beautiful vase. I'm always "borrowing" from neighbourhood gardens! x
ReplyDeleteDo you take a pair of clippers with you? Or snap and run?
ReplyDeletesnap and stroll....running makes you look guilty!! x
Deletejust the most gorgeous flowers ever and that tin....and Jesus chatting in the background and a cock thrown in for good measure...seems like you can please all of the people all of the time...this post proves it ye old blogging friend from the UK is happy xxxx
ReplyDeleteif your happy janey then im happy x
DeleteGreat tin!! Garden flowers were mean't to be seen, enjoyed and .. er...shared. Weren't they?
ReplyDeleteAll gorgeous but love that verigated leaf..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pix Al, they're gorgeous! Great happy colours. Maybe you're just selectively pruning?? You know if we were neighbours you could totally nick my flowers if you pulled the weeds out along with them! Then everyone wins. xx
ReplyDeleteive been known to flog weeds too kell...when I was only an apprentice! x
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAnd an excellent new word to add to my lexicon - floggery.
They are gorgeous. Floggery is a new word for me too but I like it. Ye old tin is awesome as well. Nice job all around!
ReplyDeleteGive up your day job, you could make a fortune with your photographic skills, Al.
ReplyDeleteSay hi to J.C. .. hope his hands are on the mend.
x
I can't imagine having a garden with so many beautiful flowers in it and letting it go to wrack and ruin. I'm glad you're getting some enjoyment out of them, even if the owner isn't.
ReplyDeleteSWOON! You are the master of floral displays! ;) xx
ReplyDeleteCan I come live at your place, such bright floral goodness. X
