the hat and purse just had to come home and be added to my wardrobe the dress up box.
been an age since I found some nice linen.....tomorrow ill be doing one of my favourite things...washing linens and watching them dry (& prob snapping pics!) sad I know...
a cock...( insert punchline here ) or (here!)...
a dame!...
she was coming home with me no matter what. I found her at a new oppy in town (yes another one lord help me!)...for $10!
its a poster advertising the "Paris" exhibition at the national gallery from march 1997....anyone go??.
isn't she lovely...frame is a dodgy gold but all can be remedied. she is behind glass and is in mint condition....so French darling!
not sure she will stay here on this wall...no doubt will dance around with her for weeks before she lands somewhere that suits.
I`ll be back to bore you with pics of tablecloths dangling in the breeze...

Ohhhh...Where to start? It's got to be that HAT! Am expecting it to feature on Frankie's head for 12/52 next week Al, it's fabulous. So is the poster, you've got the best eye. And the little jug and cover, beautiful. Happy washing day! xx
ReplyDeleteVery unfair...you always find fantastic treasures....and I always find horrid stuff that smells like someones mouldy old shed....after the rats died!!!

You're not alone. i love looking out the kitchen window and admiring the pretty vintage linens drying in the sunshine here too.
ReplyDeleteLove the new additions to the dress-up box. i wish i'd hung on to some of the clothes and accessories in the dress-up box i'd had as a kid. most of it was considered daggy 15yrs ago but would be vintage now.
x
Nothing at all boring about thrifted vintage linens drying on the line.....in fact one of my favourite sights.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the dame......not so sure about the cock !

ReplyDeleteThe blog post heading had me wondering!! I love that pink sheet and the white linen cloth on top of the pile. Ooh, can't wait for the photos of your freshly laundered haul. I'm another who sits and gazes at the thrifted linens drying on the clothesline. I have been known to fondle and sniff too. Lucky our neighbours are kangaroos!
ReplyDeleteI love the red hat and the sparkly purse! The dress up box must be fantastic!!!
